Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission

The Puget Sound Shellfish Agreement paved the way for sustainable shellfish harvesting on private land in Washington state. Working with both the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission and commercial shellfish growers, W2A coordinated efforts to secure $22 million in federal funding, legislation from Congress and the Administration, and agreements with the Departments of Interior and Justice to implement the agreement.
